Merrily We SwimAlong

A post from Dixie DIY popped up on Bloglovin' discussing a swim suit SewAlong... a SwimAlong! The timing couldn't have been more perfect because I found the coolest swim suit top on zulily over the weekend but it was bright orange. Orange is just not my color. I went to the manufacturer's website and sadly that was the only color they sold it in (which is dumb, I'm pretty sure lots of people don't look great in orange).

I also have been totally wanting to try the high-waisted bottoms that have become so trendy. They are cute and they cover! I couldn't justify a new swimsuit what with my whole No Clothes Shopping in 2013 challenge. One, could argue swim suits aren't really clothes... but I have so many suits already and never wear them as it is. Either way problem solved because Leila at Three Dresses and Katie at Kadiddlehopper are hosting a SwimAlong!

I am pretty pumped about this and a little terrified! I have a bazillion ideas already and I think the hardest part might just be finding and deciding on the perfect fabric! I have found a few ideas and have been pinning like crazy! I really want a cute polka dot print but am having a hard time finding much more than solids in swimsuit material. I would love suggestions!

I can't wait to look super chic this swimsuit in my HANDMADE BATHING SUIT!
