Image and Photo Editing Essentials

I haven't posted at all today because I have been busy redoing my blog colors! I decided I needed a more cheery mix of colors... what do you think?

I got the  Wacom Bamboo Capture Pen and Touch Tablet for Christmas and had messed with it off and on but decided today to use it for reals. I think it turned out pretty awesome!

 
I use the tablet in conjunction with Gimp for my editing.

 The Bamboo tablet came with Photoshop Element 8.0 but I had been using Gimp for years and prefer it. Best thing Gimp is free! It is also open source so anyone can create new actions or brushes and offer them up for you to download... it is pretty amazing! To make things even better there are SOOOO many free tutorials for Gimp users. Anything you want to do with your photos and images you can learn how through the vast amount of tutorials out there!
