OMG Babies!!! & A Free Baby Card Printable

I got the most amazing news last night!

Two of my closest couply friends are having a baby!!! These people especially the daddy-to-be mean a lot to me. Future-dad; Greg and I went to college together. We were casual friends throughout college but our last year there he really stepped up. My last year of college (I can’t say senior year because I was on the 5 year plan…) was a tough one for me. I had a lot of medical issues which to make a long story short resulted in me breaking my femur repeatedly throughout the final semester. Speaking of breaks… I also broke up with my long time college boyfriend at the beginning of the last semester so I was really missing my main support during this difficult time. Luckily, I had amazing friends that took over. Greg was one of these friends. While I was in the hospital after numerous surgeries Greg heard that my doctor was sentencing me to a wheel chair for a month in order to let my femur heal properly. He got some of his fraternity brothers together and built a ramp so that I could get in and out of my apartment. They had some leftover paint around the house so he painted it bright blue to cheer me up. It was hilarious because the entire neighborhood was full of beige houses. Ours really stuck out! This is just one of MANY things Greg did for me during those last few months of college. His now wife Pam went to school a few hours away so one could imagine the jealousy that could develop when your boyfriend is spending a lot of time taking care of another girl. Luckily, Pam is also amazing and if it bothered her she didn’t let it show. Though I didn’t get to know her super well during school we have since become great friends and since I met and married Matt he has also bonded with Greg. Matt and I love hanging out with them and were so overjoyed to hear the news of the new addition to their family! Based on the love and care Greg shared with me and the kindness and understanding Pam showed I know that they will be the most incredible parents to that lucky child!

We have a totally unrelated dinner planned with the two of them tonight and now we have even more reason to celebrate! I have a little surprise for them that I am super excited about. I will share it with all of you later! I also made this card to go with their gift and you can download it for all the new mommies and daddies to be in your life!
