Sarah's Meltdown Food Truck Review

This review may be 110% biased because I have a love affair with grilled cheese. Something about toasty bread and gooey cheese is magical! This combination is only second to peanut butter and chocolate in my book. Mmmm chocolate and peanut butter……..

Moving on… I somehow came across Sarah’s Meltdown Food Truck a few months ago. I don’t remember how I heard about them but I ended up following on Facebook with the hope that the day would come where they would post a visit to a location near me. That day did come but near was relative and by lunch time it was raining. Not even the allure of grilled cheese could get me out of the building for lunch. After that disappointment I sent Sarah’s Meltdown a message on FB suggesting (more like a desperate plea) they come to my place of employment. Someone (Sarah perhaps?) replied saying there are various rules and logistics involved but they would take it into consideration. A few months went by and Facebook teased me with pictures of people enjoying grilled cheeses. I grew quite sad. Then I saw a post that Sarah’s would be at a food truck festival on a weekend that we were free! The heavens opened and I knew the time was upon us. The husband and I trekked over there on a beautiful Saturday afternoon while the dog was getting pampered at the spa (our dog is spoiled).

There were SO MANY food trucks I squinted into the sun and surveyed the lot until I found it! I made a beeline to Sarah’s Meltdown truck and placed my order. It was a really difficult decision because I wanted them all but in the end I went with the Caprese Grilled Cheese and their traditional Tomato Soup.

OMG it was pretty much everything I hoped for and more. Delicious with a capital D for sure! The sandwich was so big and amazing that I couldn’t even finish all my soup.

We could end this story here… BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE!

A week later I see on Twitter that Sarah’s Meltdown will be coming to my work!!!!!!!!!! All my hard work and dedication paid off (remember I fb messaged them earlier in the year)…

I emailed pretty much everyone I know at work and told them they better be there so that Sarah’s and other food trucks would come back in the future. The turn out was amazing, the food was amazing, everything was so awesome!

This time I picked the Chicken Parmesan Grilled Cheese along with the Homemade Chips. We had another winner!

This time Sarah’s Meltdown brought their sister truck Sarah’s Cupcakes. Let’s just say the options were ridiculous and I couldn’t choose just one. Also, because I am such a nice person I planned to bring some sweet treats home to my husband. I got the Snack Cake and Gourmet Brownie. WOW! Those were AWESOME!
